What’s Happening?

LB Tech is launching a give-back campaign supporting UK charities and community organisations with free IT support, cybersecurity audits, and Microsoft 365 setup. Running from 29 July to 30 September 2025, this initiative aims to provide grassroots charities with the digital tools, training, and security they need to operate more efficiently and safeguard their data.

By nominating your charity, you could access professional IT support at no cost, helping your team save time, improve communication, and stay focused on delivering impact.

The Challenges Many Charities Face

From speaking with local charities, we know the digital challenges are real:

  • Relying on outdated or free software that doesn’t keep data secure
  • Data breaches and loss of sensitive information
  • Lacking backup systems, leaving important files at risk
  • Reduced credibility with funders and donors due to unprofessional systems

Even charities with basic email domains or simple security measures often find their systems incomplete or not fully optimised. They spend more time fixing problems than delivering services.

Our Solution

This campaign goes beyond simply installing software. Instead, we aim to build stronger, safer, and more efficient digital systems for charities so they can focus on what matters most to them.

Charities selected for this support will receive:

  • Free Microsoft 365 Business Basic setup for up to 300 users (using Microsoft’s nonprofit grant)
  • Professional charity email domains (e.g. info@yourcharity.org) for improved trust and visibility
  • Cybersecurity audits and protective measures, including anti-malware and multi-factor authentication
  • Cloud-based data backup for important files and documents
  • Staff training on digital safety and best practices
  • Ongoing helpdesk support throughout the campaign

Even if you already have a domain or some basic security measures, we can help strengthen what you have, close any gaps, and provide expert guidance tailored to your charity’s needs.

This is not simply about installing software. It’s about enabling charities to build stronger systems, increase their credibility, and spend more time on their mission.

Who Is It For?

This opportunity is ideal for small to medium-sized charities, voluntary groups, and community organisations across the UK that want to improve their digital capabilities.

This campaign is aimed at small to medium-sized charities, community groups, and voluntary organisations that are doing meaningful work but may lack the digital infrastructure or expertise to operate effectively.

This offer is especially relevant for those dedicated to driving impact in their organisations, including:

  • Charity managers and directors committed to smooth daily operations
  • Volunteer co-ordinators and administrators ensuring logistics and communications run seamlessly
  • Trustees and board members focused on governance, compliance, and reducing digital risk
  • Founders and leaders of grassroots charities balancing multiple responsibilities
  • Charity members and supporters eager to contribute their time, skills, or resources to help the organisation grow

Types of organisations encouraged to apply include:

  • Children, Youth & Education
(Covers children’s services, youth development, and education initiatives)
  • Food, Clothing & Community Support
(Includes food banks, clothing drives, and local community outreach projects)
  • Mental Health & Wellbeing
(Support groups, counselling services, and wellbeing initiatives)
  • Elderly & Caregiver Support
    (Programmes for seniors and caregivers)
  • Refugee & Migrant Support
(Organisations assisting refugees, asylum seekers, and migrants)
  • Environment & Conservation

  • International Aid & Development
(Disaster relief, global health, and education programmes abroad)
  • Arts, Culture & Heritage
(Museums, community arts projects, and cultural preservation)

If you are part of one of these groups or know a charity that fits this description, we encourage you to nominate them for this opportunity.

Why Are We Doing This?

Far too many charities struggle with outdated technology, unsecured data, and a lack of reliable IT support. This creates unnecessary risks, wasted time, and additional stress for charity teams already stretched thin.

Nominate a Charity for Free Tech Support

At LB Tech, we believe that:

  1. Every charity deserves secure, professional technology
  2. Smaller organisations should not be left behind in the digital space
  3. Charities should be focused on their work, not worrying about managing IT issues and problems

By strengthening digital infrastructure, we can help charities:

  • Work more efficiently
  • Protect sensitive information
  • Boost credibility with funders, partners, and the public
